Ahoy, Aphrodite's Piers! Welcome to the second week of Treasure Hunt season, better known as Pirate season. Now that it's underway, let's get the basics for the new regatta seasonal format, review the two methods of dumping tasks, and share the link to the new Aphrodite's Piers Facebook group. We did so well last week, rolling with Mystery Tasks and snagging lots of points. Let's do what we do best, dream team: keep up the momentum, share like crazy, and have fun! Seasonal RegattaHere are the essentials for the new seasonal regatta update: Rewards. In the seasonal regatta update, a new rewards system was introduced. The checkpoint buoys were replaced with chests containing rewards of different value. At the end of each race, all participants will get their weekly Regatta Rewards from the chests collected during it. Chests are available to unlock depending on your Co-op’s League and the number of points earned in the race. The top 3 performing Co-ops in each race receive Position Bonus Rewards that vary from member to member. Yacht Club & Tokens. Tokens are a special currency used to make purchases at the yacht club. You can earn them by completing seasonal regatta tasks: hard and themed tasks earn you more tokens. Depending on the final results, regatta participants get tokens after the race as well The Yacht Club is a special store for regatta participants. Complete regatta tasks during seasons to earn tokens you can then exchange for themed decorations, valuable coupons, lab boosters, and other rewards. You can spend the tokens you earn whenever you want. Special offers reset at the start of the first seasonal regatta. Yacht Club Offers last from when one new season starts and end when the following season starts. Seasonal Themes. The theme for this season is "Treasure Island" and you've probably already noticed your ol' captain getting carried away with pirate-y talk. It's the pirate's life for us -- for a season at least! These come with Seasonal Tasks, currently Mystery Tasks, sending ships (counts ships sent as opposed to products received), and smelting ingots. These seasonal 135 point tasks come with more tokens than typical 135 point tasks; 15 for regular tasks, 17 for ships and ingots, and 25 for Mystery Tasks. According to Playrix, Mystery Tasks should always be possible to complete, but if you are assigned a task for which you have not purchased the factory or cannot grow the crop, immediately take screenshots of your assigned task and the applicable above-level item, then send an in-game message to Help & Support; and they should update your task quickly. Reminder: Dumping TasksTownship allows two different methods of "dumping" tasks. Both methods mean that it will be 30 minutes before another task takes its place on the Task Journal. The Task Journal is shared which means any time you take or dump a task, it is removed for everyone. We do not all have our own Task Journals. Here is what makes the two methods of dumping tasks different: ❌ Method 1: ALL PLAYERS: Dumping a task after accepting it. Dumping a task after accepting it means that you are giving up the option to complete that task. It marks the task with a red X on your list of completed tasks. If you have a potential of 15 tasks and accept and dump one, that means you now have a potential of 14 tasks. In Aphrodite's Piers, we highly discourage this method (noted here in the Guidelines) as you run the risk of not being able to complete your minimum tasks if too many are dumped and you also forfeit the potential points from those tasks for that regatta. ✅ Method 2: ELDERS AND LEADERS: Dumping a task straight from the Task Journal without accepting it. This can be done by Elders, Co-Leaders, and Leaders only. Dumping a task before accepting it means that it doesn't count toward your total task count. So far, dumping tasks with either method does not affect the Co-op's regatta score, but Method 2 does affect the Global Leaderboard position. Since our Co-op has not prioritized the GLB, we will continue to not concern ourselves with task dump counts. However, in Aphrodite's Piers, Elders dump only tasks below the minimum point threshold (noted here in the Guidelines); in order to reduce confusion, Leaders will monitor the Task Journal for other tasks that can be cleared.
