Points of Discussion
Here are a few common issues:
Some of these things could be a matter of perception, highly selective task choices, or simply a shift in players' style or enthusiasm... whatever the reason, what matters most is that we figure out what's best for the team. As we can't control for Playrix' changes, there have been suggestions to re-invigorate our game by amping up requirements and others have suggested to ease off the pressure. Bottom line: there's no right or wrong answer here. We can go up, down, or stay as-is but if we are going to make a departure from our core guidelines, I'd like to see a general consensus so as not to lead everyone off the map. (Here there be dragons and all.)
As you share in the discussion, consider some of the following possibilities (or add your own ideas!):
Your Turn! (EDITED)
Below, please share your feelings and opinions in the comments regarding as much of the following as you'd like:
As you write, please remember that your goals and experience are just that: yours. With so many individuals on our team, we may not make everyone happy but dammit we're gonna try to keep the band together. ;) Hopefully we can bring all of our goals and experiences together and combine them into a happy, fun future for our team!

Show Up and Show Off!
When we are recruiting new members in the forums, one of the places we tell them to look to get to know us is in the AP Crew section. (Haven't seen it yet? Click, click!) It would be wonderful if we could have something personalized to represent each of you! The whole point is for prospective members to see a little bit of personality, so feel free to bring your own brand of fun, silly, or whatever to your mini-profile.

It's been a minute since our last announcement so let's have a quick refresher on some FAQ:
One more thing...
Your Leaders totally hear you that the game's constant changes can be just as obnoxious as they can be exciting (sometimes more so). We do our best to balance the ethos of the Co-op with the challenges of the game itself as well as updates. Of course regarding game issues, we have no influence whatsoever over Playrix so I highly encourage you when it's necessary to contact Customer Service, be adamant, polite, and responsive; they may not respond quickly but they usually yield to persistence. Still, all of us leaders hope you know that we're so happy to have you hanging and racing with us. Sometimes the board is great, sometimes monotonous... but you players are what make it fun with your banter, assistance, and empathy. Keep us in the loop with your musings, challenges, and adventures, we love chatting with you!
Ahoy, AP!
In an effort to stay competitive while keeping our lovely members long-term, the maximum 2 week opt out no longer will no longer apply. Task/point/help minimums and all other guidelines will stay the same. Here is the information as it will be presented in the Guidelines:
As always, if you have any questions feel free to ask in Chat or send a message through the Contact page. Happy sailing, Aphrodite's Piers! Firenze
Apologies on the late announcement, everyone! Things are pretty crazy here with the move in progress. <3
Music Voyage Week 4/4
We hung in there during this Music Voyage season! Average scores per person are high and holding steady -- you all are really showing up and showing out. Take a look at our team stats in the photos below or take a look at your record in the Team Stats doc. So are any of you missing placing higher in the results? Read on...
New Task Point Minimum: 132
Game Update Notice: "Reserve" Feature
Quick reminder: There are no task reservations in Aphrodite's Piers. The latest update to the game added a reservation feature and while super cool, we are going to continue with our policy as usual: first come, first served to all tasks.
Instead, let's give this update an AP spin and try it out as a tool to communicate to leaders, not one another. If you're interested in a task, use that "reserve" feature. It will indicate to leaders that you're interested in a task (therefore, please don't dump it). This way, you won't have to type it into Chat where it might get lost on a talkative day. :) Look At The Pretty Colors
You may have noticed our little website has gotten a new look. This color theme plays a bit better with our beloved teal icon, don't you think? Hope you all enjoy!

Clarification: Status Assignments
Because we know how awesome our members are and how much they love AP, we have often hesitated to make status assignment adjustments when someone falls one task short of what is needed to maintain status (e.g. 9 of 10 required tasks for Members and 14 of 15 required tasks for Elders). To maintain fairness for all and keep it simple, we are going to adhere strictly to the guidelines: any player completing fewer than 15 tasks will receive Member status and players completing fewer than 10 tasks will be kicked.
To request an exception from being kicked despite failing to complete 10 tasks, a player must contact the leaders: please do so before the end of the regatta and include an explanation for what happened and plans to prevent a recurrence. We will review these situations on a case-by-case basis. If the leaders are not contacted or the exception is denied, the player will be kicked as usual. No exceptions will be made for adjustments from Elder to Member as that can be changed by the player's performance in the next race. Thanks for understanding and feel free to reach out with any questions. Leader Announcement
No doubt some of you have noticed that I (Rachel/Firenze) have not been as active in-game or on the forums recently. There's a whole series of things that have been going on, but the TL;DR version is that I am moving (by 500 miles) at the end of February, so things are going to continue to be a little crazy. I'm leaning pretty hard on our awesome Co-Leaders Lisa and Bess so please give them extra love and patience as both have plenty going on irl, too. Bear with us for a few weeks! (And for anyone wondering, yes, we will be recruiting again between seasons)
Even if I'm not online, please know I'm still accessible to you! Don't hesitate to contact me through the website if you've got any questions about the guidelines, opting out, etc etc. Especially with things being as busy as they are, I miss some of what happens on Chat so messaging me this way guarantees my eyeballs will see your note. It may take a little bit to get back to you about non-urgent issues but I do keep a close eye on my email.
J/K! See you in Township! ;)Art Voyage Season Conclusion
Co-op Reminders
For more information on the above, see the applicable section on the Guidelines page. Please also note:
I do my best to send little reminders like this, but please help us out by continuing to monitor yourselves. As many of you do and have, let us know of any mistakes in Chat or send me a message. This lets the Leaders know you're paying attention to how you're affecting the team. No need to feel bad about a mistake, but we still need to know what happened. Keeping track of who does what how many times or trying to give tactful warnings is far too tedious and elementary for where we are as a team. Members who do not care to follow guidelines will need to be removed to ensure Co-op teamwork. Thanks for your understanding and help keeping a fun and happy team! Questions? P.S. From AP Guidelines: Accept mining or HOL tasks only if you are prepared to immediately complete them. For Mystery Tasks, have both mining tools and clovers for immediate completion if either of those are drawn.
P.P.S. Some players have reported issues with the mine (after purchasing a too-good-to-be-true deal for mining picks from Raja the Dealer). If this happened to you, check your respective application store for another update that should patch the issue. If not, you will need to contact Township Support. Happy 6 Months, Aphrodite's Piers!

With this seasonal tasks leaning hard on mining, please save all of your mining tools for regatta tasks. If you take one of the seasonal mining tasks, be sure to keep an eye on your tool stash (you can always buy tools from Raja the Dealer!). As always: If you want to use your Co-op Request for mining tools, ask ahead of time to see if anyone is able to share them so you don't waste a request.

Dumping Tasks
With quite a few new promotions to Elder this week, let's take a second to look at the two different methods of "dumping" tasks in Township. Both methods mean that it will be 30 minutes before another task takes its place on the Task Journal. The Task Journal is shared which means any time you take or dump a task, it is removed for everyone. We do not all have our own Task Journals. Here is what makes the two methods of dumping tasks different:
❌ Method 1: ALL PLAYERS: Dumping a task after accepting it. Dumping a task after accepting it means that you are giving up the option to complete that task. It marks the task with a red X on your list of completed tasks. If you have a potential of 15 tasks and accept and dump one, that means you now have a potential of 14 tasks. In Aphrodite's Piers, we highly discourage this method (noted here in the Guidelines) as you run the risk of not being able to complete your minimum tasks if too many are dumped and you also forfeit the potential points from dumped tasks for that regatta.
✅ Method 2: ELDERS AND LEADERS: Dumping a task straight from the Task Journal without accepting it. This can be done by Elders, Co-Leaders, and Leaders only. Dumping a task before accepting it means that it doesn't count toward your total task count. So far, dumping tasks with either method does not affect the Co-op's regatta score, but Method 2 does affect the Global Leaderboard position. Since our Co-op has not prioritized the GLB, we will continue to not concern ourselves with task dump counts. However, in Aphrodite's Piers, Elders dump only tasks below the minimum point threshold (noted here in the Guidelines); in order to reduce confusion, Leaders will monitor the Task Journal for other tasks that can be cleared.
Trick or Treat, Bitchez
Happy Halloween week, Aphrodite's Piers!

Welcome Aboard!
We've recently had several players join up with Aphrodite's Piers so I'd like to officially extend a warm welcome! It's so much fun to bring some fresh faces into our group and I hope you'll feel happy here in our goofy, mischievous team. You may find the following links helpful:
Co-op Reminders
- Missing coin/T-Cash videos? Try deleting the app and reinstalling; it's worked for several forums users including Firenze.
- All tasks are free for all. Please do communicate about which tasks you are prepped for or interested in accepting, but realize that this is not a guarantee any task will become/remain available.
- Only take HOL or mining tasks when you have enough clovers/tools to immediately complete the task. For Mystery Tasks, have both clovers and plenty of mining tools. (This does not apply to other seasonal tasks).
- Elders are to dump tasks below 130 points only. Leaders will assess the Task Journal for additional clearing when they are available.
- If you expect a busy week that will interfere with your ability to meet these Guidelines, you must opt out of Regatta participation in Additional Settings before the race starts.
Questions? Review Guidelines and FAQ first (maybe even the Help Guide), then ask in Chat or Contact Leader.
See you in Township, my pretties!
Week 20 Results have been added to the Team Stats document. Your collaboration, sharing, and tasking (and extra tasking) were extra appreciated during this last week of the Medieval season.
Interim Week + Halloween Event
Aphrodite's Piers, your teamwork and persistence kept us in the Golden League through a rather brutal Medieval season in addition to a few other setbacks. All of that is behind us now as we have the exciting Halloween event to enjoy and the Wild West to look forward to in Week 22. In the meantime, good luck busting ghosts, AP! |
Poll Results: Minimum Task Increase to 10
Thank you for sharing your opinions on our Co-op guidelines. Your input is essential and appreciated and at 23/24 responses, a great turn-out. To summarize the results: our minimum task requirement is increasing to 10, minimum task points are staying the same at 130, and minimum shares are staying the same at 50.
Leader Announcement: Forum Moderator
As some of you already know, I was offered a volunteer forum moderator position for the Township forums and after some consideration, have accepted and look forward to helping to improve the forum experience and player-Playrix relations with the other hard-working moderators. You can find and friend me through my profile here and don't forget to join the members-only Aphrodite's Piers forum group. |
Week 19 Results have been added to the Team Stats document. As always, all of your collaboration, sharing, and tasking (and extra tasking) are much appreciated.
Important: Delayed Start
Due to some tough match-ups the last few weeks, we are going to try a delayed start for this week's Regatta. Other Co-ops have mentioned some success in getting matched up to less eager opponents by waiting to accept the first task for a few hours or more so we will give it a shot with a 4 hours delay:
Of course, you do not have to take a task exactly 4 hours after the Regatta's start -- simply any time after that. To assist us in coordinating this effort across time zones, I've made estimates here based on the time zones I know are common for our team (apologies if I missed you!):
- 5 AM PST, 6 AM MST, 7 AM CST, 8 AM EST
- 1 PM London, UTC+1
- 9 PM Tokyo, UTC+9
Want Change? Happy with Status Quo? Vote Now!

So on that note, I'd like to hear from you!

Mystery Tasks
The official Township Mobile Facebook page mentioned Mystery Tasks recently:
🔮 Mystery tasks are available during seasonal regattas.
💌 Don't be afraid to pick them — they’re definitely doable! (AP Note: This seems to be generally true up until the end of the regatta. Within the last 24-36 hours, Mystery Tasks may require boosters or even be impossible to complete in the time lit).
💜 Your level is taken into consideration when these tasks are generated, so you’ll never let your teammates down!
❤ You’ll always get 135 points and the maximum amount of tokens (25) you can spend on Yacht Club purchases for the completed mystery task. Therefore, it makes so much sense to choose them!
💟 You can be sure you have the necessary buildings in your town to complete any mystery task you pick. (AP Note: If you are assigned a Mystery Task for which you don't have the necessary buildings, immediately take screenshots of your task and the building in your menu (showing it's not available and/or built) and send the images with an explanation to in-game Support. They have reportedly been great about fixing these errors when they occurred early on. It also might be helpful to start your request with "URGENT - MYSTERY TASK.")

Quick Note About Team Guidelines
Sorry in advance for the bummer, but this is the housekeeping part of keeping our little Co-op going. Several players have been screenshotted violating team guidelines in recent weeks. Guidelines violations can get players kicked; still, I was reticent to do so as we have such a great group and I'd like to assume these are mistakes and not intentional. Going forward, I will kick for guidelines violations to keep our team working together happily. Here are the most important reminders:
- Complete 8 tasks over 130 points each. Do not accept tasks below this threshold. Elders are to dump all and only tasks below 130 points.
- Share at least 50 times -- though much more has become standard for our Co-op.
- Accept mining or HOL tasks only if you are prepared to immediately complete them. For Mystery Tasks, have both mining tools and clovers for immediate completion if either of those are drawn.
Reminder: Curious about your participation stats?
If you've wondered about your performance history or the trends in team regatta results, you can see it all spelled out for you in this Team Stats document. The first sheet is a quick calculator for you to select your town name and see your performance history. The dropdown feature will only work on a computer browser or on a mobile device with the free Google Sheets app. For future reference, a link will be under the Participation section of the Guidelines page. |
Psst... the Tips & Resources page has been updated. Got ideas to add? Send them here.
Guidelines Update: Seasonal Mystery Tasks
The Treasure Hunt season has come to an end... so avast ye scallawags for the interim week before next week's medieval theme. With the premiere season of the new format we were given Mystery Tasks. There's some speculation as to whether or not these will be offered in future seasons, but if they are, we are going to add a caveat: Before accepting a Mystery Task you must be prepared to immediately mine 58 ore and spend 30 clovers, just as is required for other mining and HOL tasks. This will help with the scarcity of Mystery Tasks by encouraging Mystery Taskers to take other tasks while they are reloading on tools and clovers. This has been added to the Participation section of the Guidelines page.
New Tool: Check Your Stats
If you've been curious about your performance or the trends in team regatta results, you can see it all spelled out for you in this Team Stats document. The first sheet is a quick calculator for you to select your town name and see your performance history. The dropdown feature will only work on a computer browser or on a mobile device with the free Google Sheets app. For future reference, a link will be under the Participation section of the Guidelines page. |
P.S. If you've taken screenshots of any help stats in the last few hours of a regatta or just after it ends for Weeks 1, 2, 5, or 10, please contact your Leader ASAP to share them; those are the weeks where some or all of our help data is missing.
Helping is the Name of the AP Game
This Co-op is legendary with tasking and sharing. It’s always fun to see teammates collaborating on tasks and orders, cheering each other on in events and achievements. There are a lot of ways to be a generous player:
- Frequently fill requests and crates for other players
- Make requests as often as you can
- Ask for help on 3 crates per plane
- Let your team know in advance what you’ll be needing help for on your plane and when so they have time to prepare it.
- Ask for help on 1 crate per train
- Kindly share tips and answers with your teammates
- Send daily gifts to a few of your Recent Helpers and/or Co-op members
Sometimes it isn't practical to do all of these things in a day, but they’re good habits to apply as often as we can. Offering opportunities to earn clovers is as important as filling those requests. I don’t know about you, but it makes me super psyched to see our share numbers trouncing other teams. It's the kind of environment that makes playing together so much fun so don't slow down now!

1st Place Golden League: Three Weeks In a Row
1st place... three weeks running! Everyone who raced already had a Golden Sail trophy, so we will forgo the list this time. Maybe we should make this an advertising point -- get your Golden Sail trophy here! 😉 Seriously, all of your efforts in completing high point tasks and sharing quickly and generously are appreciated by your team. It really is fun cleaning up in rewards and grabbing some bragging rights as we rack up those gold trophies.
Helping, winning, and rewards... Aphrodite's Piers, you frickin' rock.

Well, well, well, Aphrodite's Piers! Look at you: 30/30 racers and another 1st in the Golden League. A special congratulations to those who earned their first Golden Sail with us. Keep up the tasking and sharing -- team work really makes the dream work with this crew.

Golden Sail Champions, Week 13Congratulations, Aphrodite's Piers! What a great race this week. Well done on securing the Golden Sail once again, crew. (Of course you can only get the achievement and trophy once, but some of these racers haven't had a 1st place win with AP yet so welcome to the top, everyone. 😉) Really, you rocked it out with so many of the extra tasks and craaazy share numbers. You are what makes this team fun and kick ass. Cheers, AP! 🍻 (Psst... scroll all the way down!) Reminder: Status Assignments
We've had a few Status updates so I want to be sure to review how we make those changes. In Aphrodite's Piers, there is fluidity to the Member/ Elder Status assignments as we primarily use this feature to track a player’s most recent activity. If task completion and participation level dips, a player may be moved from Elder to Member and when they return to completing all tasks and meeting all guidelines, their Status will be moved from Member to Elder. For more information: Guidelines: Status Assignments (Explains Member and Elder descriptions) Last Week's Reminder about Dumping Tasks |
Ahoy, Aphrodite's Piers! Welcome to the second week of Treasure Hunt season, better known as Pirate season. Now that it's underway, let's get the basics for the new regatta seasonal format, review the two methods of dumping tasks, and share the link to the new Aphrodite's Piers Facebook group. We did so well last week, rolling with Mystery Tasks and snagging lots of points. Let's do what we do best, dream team: keep up the momentum, share like crazy, and have fun!
Seasonal Regatta
Here are the essentials for the new seasonal regatta update:
Rewards. In the seasonal regatta update, a new rewards system was introduced. The checkpoint buoys were replaced with chests containing rewards of different value. At the end of each race, all participants will get their weekly Regatta Rewards from the chests collected during it. Chests are available to unlock depending on your
Co-op’s League and the number of points earned in the race. The top 3 performing Co-ops in each race receive Position Bonus Rewards that vary from member to member.

Yacht Club & Tokens. Tokens are a special currency used to make purchases at the yacht club. You can earn them by completing seasonal regatta tasks: hard and themed tasks earn you more tokens. Depending on the final results, regatta participants get tokens after the race as well The Yacht Club is a special store for regatta participants. Complete regatta tasks during seasons to earn tokens you can then exchange for themed decorations, valuable coupons, lab boosters, and other rewards. You can spend the tokens you earn whenever you want. Special offers reset at the start of the first seasonal regatta. Yacht Club Offers last from when one new season starts and end when the following season starts.
Seasonal Themes. The theme for this season is "Treasure Island" and you've probably already noticed your ol' captain getting carried away with pirate-y talk. It's the pirate's life for us -- for a season at least! These come with Seasonal Tasks, currently Mystery Tasks, sending ships (counts ships sent as opposed to products received), and smelting ingots. These seasonal 135 point tasks come with more tokens than typical 135 point tasks; 15 for regular tasks, 17 for ships and ingots, and 25 for Mystery Tasks. According to Playrix, Mystery Tasks should always be possible to complete, but if you are assigned a task for which you have not purchased the factory or cannot grow the crop, immediately take screenshots of your assigned task and the applicable above-level item, then send an in-game message to Help & Support; and they should update your task quickly.
Reminder: Dumping Tasks
Township allows two different methods of "dumping" tasks.
In Aphrodite's Piers, we highly discourage this method (noted here in the Guidelines) as you run the risk of not being able to complete your minimum tasks if too many are dumped and you also forfeit the potential points from those tasks for that regatta.

Winners of the Legendary Yachtsman Achievement
You came in first in the Golden League and earned the Golden Sail trophy, Aphrodite's Piers! What a tough challenge -- and close race! I'm so proud of the teamwork of this Co-op. Enjoy those trophies and display them proudly. You most certainly earned it. This Co-op has only been around for 70 days -- that's right, today is our 10 Week Birthday -- and you celebrated it with a big ol' golden trophy. Well done. Thank you for including Aphrodite's Piers in your Township experience. |
